3R CONCEPT
Beschreibung
With our multi-step 3R concept to water and energy management – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle -, we help commercial laundries to set new standards for resource efficiency and climate protection with lowest investment!
Reduce by optimizing Washing Processes and Water Consumption
Our initial focus is on optimizing the wash process and reducing water and energy consumption through the implementation of innovative washing solutions and advanced washing process setups. By utilizing high-efficiency chemicals that facilitate quicker rinsing and leveraging our extensive expertise to precisely manage the overall water flow and to wash and disinfect at temperature as of 40°C, we achieve lowest consumptions on tunnel washers and washer-extractors while maintaining washing and rinsing quality.
Reuse water and energy
At Ecolab, we’ve made saving water simple and smart. Our systems capture, filter, and intelligently reuse water in the process, all while keeping colors separate and efficiently distributing it across machines. Our solution, while cutting your laundry’s water usage by up to 50% without compromising on quality and cleanliness, is easy to install, pays for itself quickly, and reduces your operational costs.
In parallel, all the laundry's leftover water is used to extract energy with Ecolab’s heat recovery solution, and this recovered energy is collected to warm fresh water that is used in the washing processes.
One of the latest Ecolab W&E - innovation, the Energy Optimizer (EOP) Air Technology allows to go a step further in the energy recovery journey by recovering energy from the exhaust air from dryers, ironers or tunnel finisher to elevate further the temperature of the fresh water. Higher rinsing temperatures result in lower moisture content in the linen, which leads to faster drying times and increased finishing productivity.
The final stage in optimizing energy usage is our ECOLAB steam-free washing solution that could lead to the complete eliminate the boiler from the laundry process.
Recycle effluent water
The ultimate step of our water management strategy is water recycling through effluent treatment and recirculation. Given the higher costs associated with this process, it is essential to first focus on reducing and reusing process water volumes. This approach minimizes both investment and ongoing operational costs.
